Weddings: Guests in Dresses

When you're attending a wedding, it's important that you dress smartly and never wear white! Below I've gathered a bunch of outfits revolving around dresses for you to wear to a Wedding :)

I hope you find something you'd like to try!

This dress could be perfect for many personalities as you could easily make it girly, rock it up, or meet in the middle like I've done here; opting for black heels and ear-chain, but keeping the bag light and girly to match with the floral pattern. For this outfit, I'd wear my hair up in a messy bun, showing off the ear-chain, and would go for a soft smokey eye and natural lip.

Dress £27.30 - Heels £39 - Chain £10 - Bag £25

I love Bardot dresses as they're very flattering and feminine (plus orange is one of my favourite colours!) - I opted for a pair of contrasting pink heels to really make a statement with colour-blocking, and added this cute clutch bag with pineapple clasp and rose gold glitter. For this look I'd go for a half-up-do to let the droplet earrings shine, and wear a bright pink lip to match the shoes with a more subtle, simple eye.

Dress £19.60 - Shoes £39 - Bag £35 - Earrings £7.50

If, like me, your wardrobe consists of mostly black items... then maybe this outfit would suit you best. Lace is incredibly versatile, and here it's used to create a feminine yet cool look in black. These stiletto heels tie-in to the floral pattern of this dress, and I chose black accessories to keep the look subtle and elegant. For this look I'd opt for a wavy, pinned back hairdo with a bright pink lip and subtle eye makeup.

Dress £52.50 - Shoes £49 - Ring £2 - Bag £29

The 1920's was an amazing era for fashion and it's classically elegant style still translates beautifully into the present day. I chose a matching pair of heels with embellished heels, and a stunning hand chain to keep the elegant and timeless feel. Finally, I chose a sequin and feather clutch to amp up the 1920's theme. I'd style this outfit with a finger-curl hairstyle and nude, glossy lip with a brown smokey eye accented with rose gold shimmer.

Dress £60 - Shoes £55 - Chain £5 - Bag £14

Florals are always perfect for a wedding; very feminine and sweet, especially in pink. I kept the accessories simple and light to compliment this classically sophisticated dress, and the floral detail in this designer watch is subtle but beautiful. I'd wear this with curled hair, a subtly bronzed smokey eye and a light pink lip.

Dress £34 - Shoes £56 - Watch £140 - Bag £15

I like the chic faux leather zig-zag pattern of this dress and wanted the focus to be on that, so I chose a pair of really simple skinny heels, gold bar rings and snakeskin print bag for added texture. For this look I'd wear my hair in a high ponytail with some tousled loose bits hanging down, with a smokey eye and nude glossy lip.

Dress £42 - Heels £29 - Rings £10 - Bag £25

This scalloped sequin dress is very glamorous and beautiful, featuring rose gold tones, matched by these heels and ring set. Finally, I chose to continue the rose gold theme with this shimmery bag with stud detailing. I'd go with voluminous wavy hair and a bronzed makeup look for this outfit with a nude glossy lip.

Dress £49 - Heels £20 - Rings £10 - Bag £28

For this look I went for a statement with red and gold. This slinky little black dress has draping lace shoulders and a sweetheart neckline that show off the decolletage. I opted for a pair of chic red boots with cut outs and a peep-toe to keep the look sultry and then accessorised with a gold necklace with a pop of red, plus a red bag with gold accents, easily used as a clutch or slung over the shoulder. I'd wear this look with a soft, loose bun with curls, cat eye liner and a bold red lip.

Dress £49 - Heels £56 - Necklace £3 - Bag £25

If you're going for a glitzy look, then this gold outfit is perfect for you! I've matched sequins with glitter by choosing this strapless dress and chunky heels, then accessorised with a gold cocktail ring with pearl detail. Finally I picked this awesome honeycomb clutch bag, spattered with bees with diamond wings. For this look I'd wear my hair in waves, with a gold shimmery eye and nude lips.

Dress £44.25 - Heels £10 - Ring £9 - Bag £40

This denim pinafore dress is short and sweet with a fun, more casual vibe, feminised with some soft pink floral embroidery. I upped the glamour factor with this metallic pink heels with gorgeous silver heels and glittering sequin earrings. Finally I chose a soft pink clutch, and would wear this look with a wavy high ponytail with a bouffant and light pink lips and cat eye.

Dress £45 - Shoes £30 - Earrings £7 - Bag £22

This metallic dress in a muted gold is soft and feminine, paired perfectly with these simple metallic heels and circle drop earrings. I added this matching gold bag as well, keeping to the theme but opting for a darker tone to allow the dress to keep its statement status. This look would suit soft waves with a gold shimmery eye and glossy natural lip.

Dress £45 - Shoes £25 - Earrings £7 - Clutch £20

The sheer sleeves with bow detailing are cute and feminine, giving subtle texture to this sweet skater dress. Low heels like these are a great way to extend the leg and feminise a look without compromising your comfort too much. I finally opted for these dynamic stone detailed earrings and soft blue bag to compliment the look. I'd wear a soft wavy ponytail with a braid running through for this look, and go for a soft cream and brown eye with a soft pink or lilac lip.

Dress £48 - Shoes £59 - Earrings £10 - Bag £25

This beautifully sculpted wrap dress boasts a sultry split and short plunging neckline. I chose this pair of skinny two-toned heels and sparkly choker to add to the sultry glamour of this look, and I finalised the outfit with this soft faux fur black bag. Soft curls would look wonderful with this look and a light but smokey eye and red matte lip.

Dress £49 - Shoes £42 - Choker £3 - Bag £11.40

Lace is very feminine and this bodycon dress gives a beautiful lace illusion. Grey and green pair wonderfully in my opinion, so I chose these soft grey snakeskin patterned courts and matching grey snakeskin patterned bag, then added this stunning floral watch with green band. I'd wear this look with voluminous wavy hair, bronzed eyes and a soft pink lip.

Dress £50 - Shoes £56 - Watch £80 - Bag £18.40

This roll-neck skater style dress is very soft and feminine with a subtle floral pattern and iridescent overlay. I chose some comfortable low heels in a creamy colour to match with the dress, and blue floral earcuffs with diamond detailing to tie-in the spatter of blue in the dress' pattern. Finally I chose a small soft lilac cross body bag to carry with you. This look would suit a soft, wavy hairstyle with a creamy cut crease eye with iridescent shimmer and a soft pink or lilac lip.

Dress £55 - Shoes £49 - Earcuffs £6.25 - Bag £29

Red is the colour of love and this sweet dress is certainly lovely - nicely structured with a plunging neckline and ladder detailing around the bustier. I paired it with some simple red pumps and a droplet necklace that will slink nicely down the chest, and a nude bag with red floral embroidery and pearl detailing. I'd wear my hair with large, red-carpet waves, bronzed smokey eye and bold red lip.

Dress £58 - Shoes £56 - Necklace £22.50 - Bag £35

I love the plunging neckline and fringing on this dress - it certainly makes a statement! I chose matching shoes and a plain clutch so it doesn't distract from the dress, but also chose this sweet but simple necklace with intertwining hearts, perfect for the occasion. I'd go with a smokey brown shimmery eye with nude glossy lips for this look, as well as some pulled-back curly hair.

Dress £59 - Shoes £20 - Necklace £5 - Bag £30

This dress is very elegant and simple, so I decided to add lots of sparkle and odd coloured rings to the mix to add a bit of flare, before grabbing a ruffled bag to match the feminine vibe of this laser cut dress. I'd wear a loose bun with this outfit, opting for a sparkly iridescent look for the eyes and a natural lip.

Dress £90 - Shoes £18 - Rings £10 - Bag £35

This picture doesn't do the dress justice, so click the link for more pictures ;) but it's a very classic and elegant piece with an asymmetric neckline and rose print. I chose some classic court heels to compliment it, as well as some simple droplet earrings and a bold pop of colour with the bag to complete the look. I'd keep my hair very elegant and sleek with a braided chignon, then choose a subtle and natural eye makeup, but adding a statement by matching my lipstick to the bag.

Dress £120 - Shoes £62 - Earrings £9 - Bag £14.40
